Almost hundreds of people poored into the magnificantly appointed meeting hall of The Garden Inns and Suites. Some of them even stayed for the entire show. We later learned that they are called "Comic Dealers."
Being the special guest Mr. Campbell felt it was appropriate to shamelessly promote himself by covering the front of his table with the gaudiest banner he could find.
He soon found out that apparently being the special guest at a comic show doesn't mean you don't have to hand draw your own signs. But he doesn't give up hopes of being fed grapes from sexy women dressed as his favorite super heroines. He holds on until the manager comes in the room and kindly asks him to leave saying the show ended hours earlier.

Justin took this opportunity to teach Duane a few drawing "Tricks" he learned in college. Such as using a pencil and paper instead of Kool-Aid in a straw and a grocery sack.
After many fans asked about his facial hair Justin finally revealed his plan for the month of August. When he'll let all of his hair grow long and walk around naked asking for a date.

Once again Wide Awake Press manages to set the bar in aesthetic merchandising by packing in more goods than a Washington street vender.

Mark Roper of Comics Wanted demonstrates the high pressure sales technique known in the comic book world as "Armpit Fondling" or rather standing back and letting the customer get his own damn comics.

Ha, Ha, It's fun to be a grown men drawing and collecting picture books instead of solving the worlds problems. And it makes the hastle of spending money so much easier.

Drawing by Justin. Inked by Duane.

WIDE AWAKE PRESS
Greenville Comic Book Show
J Chris Campbell, Duane Ballenger and Justin Gammon pounded their chests and hollered as local folks walked by looking for "Real Comic Books.” We had a wonderific time and drew lots of unremarkable drawings that I’m possalutely sure you'll enjoy. So pull up a chair and lets swagger thru this miraculous event we like to call the Greenville Comic Show.

Mr. Shannon over at MetroBeat threw the show a bone with a little blurb in the paper and by running this illustration by the illustrious Mr. Campbell. Thanks Mr. Shannon for helping out!

During the short pauses between the crowds of fans Holli managed to draw this alien that was inked by fan favorite Justin Gammon.

Chris picks up a copy of the new Craig Thompson book from The owner of Planet Comics in Anderson, SC. Later that night after looking through it he decides maybe it would be a good idea to stop pretending he can draw and go ahead and accept the job offer from the Subway up the street.

Duane Ballenger unleashed an instant classic t-shirt design. It's available locally at Boarderlands Comic Book shop on Laurens Rd. Or buy one online when we get around to making it available.

After minutes of practice Duane is up and running drawing circles around Justin. See example bellow.

Duane and Justin soon were on thier way to wasting paper and valuable television watching time. Duane drew the mouse above that was then inked by Justin. The hilarity continues with the drawing of the space man and alien at left.
